The single most common question I get about EFURC is: “is this just Slay the Spire on Roblox?” The answer is no — and the differences matter for buyers, players, and the meta.
What EFURC is
EFURC is a constructed trading card game on Roblox. You build a 30-card deck. You play against another player. The deck you build is persistent — you keep it, you tune it, you bring it to tournaments.
What Slay the Spire is
Slay the Spire is a roguelike deckbuilder. You start each run with a basic deck. You draft cards as you play. When you die, the run ends and your deck is gone.
The three core differences
- Persistence — your EFURC deck is yours forever. You can save it, share it, sell it (eventually).
- Faction identity — every EFURC card has a faction. A Sylvan deck looks like a Sylvan deck. A Cursed deck looks like a Cursed deck. Slay the Spire has no faction system.
- Lore — every EFURC card has a lore entry in the lore book. The card ties to a chapter. Slay the Spire is mechanically rich but lore-free.
What this means for players
If you like Slay the Spire, you will like EFURC’s mechanics. If you like Magic: The Gathering, you will like EFURC’s deck-building. If you like both, you will like EFURC’s faction-lore-mechanic blend.
What this means for the meta
The EFURC meta is what constructed TCG metas look like — defined by the tier list, the top decks, the format rotations. EFURC v0.2 will introduce the first format rotation.
