Steam Next Fest was Dec 15. Here is the recap.
The headline

What worked
- The trailer — 60 seconds, captioned, 4K. Featured on the Next Fest page.
- The Discord announcement — pinned for 7 days. 1,800 members saw it.
- The email blast — 4,200 subscribers. 34% open rate. 8% click-through to Steam page.
What I would change next time
- The demo is 30 minutes too long. Players reported “too much lore, not enough action.” Next Fest demos should be 90 minutes, not 2 hours.
- The save file system needs work. Players quit mid-demo and couldn’t resume. Next Fest is the #1 place players quit + try to resume.
- The Discord invite in the post-credits screen was too small. Bigger CTA next time.
What this means for Q1 2027 full release
Next Fest added 1,243 wishlists. Combined with the 4,827 from Dec 1, total wishlists are now 6,070. Q1 2027 launch-week conversion at 20% = **1,214 units × $19.99 = $24,267 first-week Steam revenue**.
