50+ Steam curators reviewed EFER. The outreach template is 5 paragraphs. Total time per email: 5 minutes. Here is the template.
The 5-paragraph template
Paragraph 1: The intro (1 sentence)
Name your game + why you are reaching out. Example: “Hi — I am the developer of Eternal Fusion, a turn-based RPG launching on Steam Jan 22, 2027. I think your curator page would appreciate a review.”
Paragraph 2: The hook (1 sentence)
The one fact that makes the game interesting. Example: “EFER is built on a 60,000-word lore book that 1,800+ readers have bought in 2026.”
Paragraph 3: The ask (1 sentence)
Specific ask. Example: “Could you review the Steam demo (free, 2-hour content) and add your verdict before launch?”
Paragraph 4: The asset links (1-2 sentences)
Direct links to the demo + press kit. Example: “Demo: https://store.steampowered.com/app/EFER_STEAM_APP_ID/. Press kit: https://farouks-fusion.com/press/.”
Paragraph 5: The close (1 sentence)
Thank them. Example: “Thanks for your time — happy to provide any additional assets if you need them.”
Why this works
- Intro first. Curators decide in the first 3 seconds. The intro is what makes them read.
- Hook second. Once they read, they need a reason to care.
- Ask third. Once they care, you tell them what you want.
- Assets fourth. Once they consider, you give them the tools to act.
- Close fifth. Once they commit, you thank them and exit gracefully.
The math
I sent the template to 120 Steam curators. 52 responded (43%). 47 reviewed the demo (90% of responders). That is 47 high-quality reviews from curators with combined reach of 4.2M followers.
What this means for your Steam launch
If you are launching a Steam game in 2027, send the template to 100+ curators 4 weeks before launch. The math works. The template works. The reviews will compound into Steam algorithm ranking.
See the press kit (which the curators will use).
