Why I use AI to write articles but not to design factions (and why you should too)

AI writes every article on farouks-fusion.com. AI does not design any faction. Here is the line I draw.

What AI writes

  • Articles. Every article on this site is AI-assisted. The AI writes the first draft in 5 minutes. I edit for tone, accuracy, and brand voice.
  • Product descriptions. The 4-paragraph formula is mine; the words are AI’s. AI writes the bullets; I curate the order.
  • Cross-posting. AI rewrites every article for Dev.to, Hashnode, Medium. Same content, different audience.
  • SEO meta descriptions. AI writes the 160-character meta description for every page.

What AI does not write

  • Faction theses. “The Sylvan chose to remember” — that is mine. AI can write a faction description. AI cannot decide what the faction believes.
  • Card effects. AI can suggest card effects. I decide which effects make it into the game.
  • NPC arcs. AI can write NPC dialogue. I decide which NPCs exist and why.
  • Lore book chapters. The lore is mine. AI writes the outline, the description, the cross-promo. The chapter is mine.

Why this matters

AI is a speed multiplier. It takes 2 hours to write an article without AI; 30 minutes with AI. That is a 4x speedup. Over 52 weeks, 4x speedup = 130 extra articles.

AI is not a taste substitute. The reader buys the lore book because of the faction theses. The theses are not AI-generated. They are mine.

What this means for your work

If you are a creator, use AI for shipping. Do not use AI for the things that make you you. The line is the difference between “content” and “art.”
