Kalina is the current Canopy-Speaker — the longest-serving in the role, over a century. By Sylvan standards she is ancient. Her body has become increasingly plant-like — bark-textured skin, foliage-for-hair, eyes reflecting the forest’s colors. She is the voice of the forest in dealings with other factions — interpreting the forest’s wishes, communicating the forest’s warnings. The forest knows things that humans do not. The forest remembers things that humans have forgotten. And Kalina is the one who speaks for the forest.

Gameplay

In EFURC v0.2, Kalina is the named NPC for the Sylvan cards. She provides information advantage — Sylvan players who include Kalina in their deck see one extra card in the opponent’s hand. Mechanically the weakest, informationally the strongest.
