Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules that apply when you use farouks-fusion.com, the EFURC card-battler, the EFER and EFEMM universe sites, and the JKPHermex AI assistant (the “Services”). It is incorporated into our Terms of Service. By using the Services you agree to follow these rules. Violations may lead to content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban, and where appropriate, disclosure to law enforcement.

1. Prohibited content

You may not upload, post, transmit, or otherwise make available any content that:

• Is sexual or exploitative in any way involving minors. We treat child sexual abuse material (CSAM) with zero tolerance. We hash-match all uploaded media, report matches to NCMEC and equivalent international authorities (NCMEC CyberTipline, INHOPE, IWF), and terminate accounts immediately.
• Depicts or promotes sexual violence, non-consensual acts, or human trafficking.
• Is hateful, harassing, or degrading toward a person or group based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic. This includes slurs, dehumanising memes, and calls for violence.
• Threatens, harasses, or bullies other users. This includes doxxing (publishing private information about another person without their consent), stalking, intimidation, and incitement to self-harm.
• Promotes terrorism or violent extremism, including recruitment material, instructions for weapons or explosive construction, or praise of terrorist acts.
• Is illegal under the laws of your jurisdiction or the jurisdiction from which you operate, including content that infringes intellectual property rights, defames a person, or violates export controls.
• Infringes intellectual property rights, including copyrighted text, images, audio, or video you do not have permission to upload (see our DMCA Notice & Takedown for takedown procedure).
• Contains malware, phishing links, or scams, including fake giveaways, advance-fee fraud, or impersonation of Farouk Fusion staff or other users.
• Is spam or unsolicited bulk content, including posting the same message repeatedly, running commercial promotions outside the channels we designate, or posting affiliate links.

2. Prohibited conduct

You also agree not to:

2.1 Cheating and unfair play in EFURC

• Use bots, automation, or scripted input to play matches.
• Exploit known bugs to gain an unfair advantage (“duping” cards, manipulating ranked rating, bypassing match costs).
• Collude with other players (match-fixing, account-sharing for rating manipulation, intentional throwing).
• Purchase accounts, ranked rating, or in-game items from third-party sellers (“real-money trading”).
• Use multiple accounts to evade a prior ban or to smurf against lower-rated opponents.

2.2 Exploiting match authority or moderator tools

If you are a tournament organiser, community moderator, or designated Farouk Fusion volunteer, you may not use your authority to advantage yourself, leak confidential player data, or take action outside your mandate.

2.3 Scraping, reverse engineering, and security

• No scraping, crawling, or bulk downloading of EFURC, EFER, EFEMM, or JKPHermex content, APIs, or model outputs without our written permission.
• No reverse engineering, decompiling, or extracting source code, model weights, or audio assets, except as permitted by applicable law (e.g., EU Directive 2009/24/EC interoperability exception).
• No probing, scanning, or testing the security of the Services without prior written authorisation.
• No circumventing rate limits, captchas, or access controls.

2.4 Account and identity abuse

• No impersonating Farouk Fusion staff, tournament officials, or other players.
• No selling, transferring, or sharing your account credentials.
• No creating accounts to evade a prior ban.

2.5 Misuse of JKPHermex (AI assistant)

• No using JKPHermex to generate the prohibited content listed in Section 1 (hate speech, CSAM, malware, etc.).
• No using JKPHermex to generate spam, phishing content, or to mass-target other users.
• No extracting or training on JKPHermex outputs at scale without our written permission.
• No attempting prompt-injection attacks that bypass our safety filters, or publicly publishing successful bypasses. (We accept research disclosures sent in good faith to osei1sup@gmail.com.)

3. Child-safety special provisions

For EFER lore posts, EFEMM community spaces, and EFURC in-game chat that may be visible to under-18 users, we apply stricter defaults: pre-publication content classifiers, slower human review, and a one-strike content ban for any sexual content involving minors. We cooperate fully with NCMEC, the FBI, and international equivalents.

4. Reporting violations

You can report violations through any of these channels:

• In-app: use the “Report” button on a profile, post, chat message, or JKPHermex reply.
• Email: osei1sup@gmail.com for content moderation reports, or osei1sup@gmail.com for security issues.
• DMCA: copyright takedowns follow the procedure in our DMCA Notice & Takedown page.

Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. We may ask you for follow-up information. Good-faith reporters are not penalised for reporting content they reasonably believed violated this AUP, even if we ultimately decide the content is permissible.

5. Enforcement

We use a graduated response. The exact action depends on severity, intent, and history:

Zero-tolerance categories — including CSAM, non-consensual intimate imagery, credible threats of violence, and confirmed ban evasion — skip the warning stage and result in immediate permanent ban.

6. Appeals

You may appeal an enforcement action by emailing osei1sup@gmail.com within 30 days of the action. Please include your account email, the action you are appealing, and a short explanation. A human reviewer who was not part of the original decision will respond within 14 days. While under appeal, the original action remains in effect.

7. Reporting to authorities

We may disclose user information to law enforcement when we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to comply with applicable law, a valid subpoena or court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.

8. Account recovery and false-positive mitigations

We know automated moderation makes mistakes. To reduce false positives, we:

• Always notify you in-app and by email before a suspension or ban takes effect (except for zero-tolerance categories).
• Provide a copy of the content that triggered the action, where lawful, so you can understand the decision.
• Allow you to provide context in your appeal (for example, the slur was a quote from a book you were reviewing).
• Run a second-pass human review on all appeals before they are denied.

9. Special rules for tournament organisers and moderators

If you have been granted tournament organiser or community-moderator status on EFURC, EFER, or EFEMM, additional obligations apply:

• You act on behalf of the community, not your own interests. Conflicts of interest (for example, judging a tournament you also played in) must be disclosed in advance and recused from.
• Confidential player data you see through moderator tools (private reports, match logs) must not be shared outside the moderation team.
• You may not use moderator tools to advantage allies, retaliate against rivals, or silence criticism.
• Violations of this section can result in loss of moderator status and may also trigger Sections 5–7 above.

10. Anti-circumvention

You may not attempt to circumvent enforcement actions: creating new accounts to evade a ban, using a VPN to access a region-restricted service, asking another person to post content on your behalf, or otherwise hiding the fact that you have been the subject of an enforcement action. Anti-circumvention is itself a violation of this AUP and will be enforced as such.

11. Changes

We may revise this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in advance via in-app notice and by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

13. EU DSA / UK OSA / U.S. state law alignment

The EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065) and the UK Online Safety Act 2023 require platforms to be transparent about content rules, give users a meaningful complaint mechanism, and treat minors with heightened care. Our Privacy Policy Section 5 explains how we block under-13 users from creating accounts; Sections 5–8 of this AUP explain our enforcement ladder and appeal mechanism. The U.S. state-level NetChoice-style laws also address content moderation transparency, and we extend the same rights to all users regardless of jurisdiction.

14. Cooperation with researchers

We work with academic and civil-society researchers studying online safety. If you are researching content-moderation effectiveness, hate-speech classification, or child-safety tooling, you can write to research@farouks-fusion.com with a one-page proposal. We cannot promise access to non-public data, but we can sometimes share aggregated metrics and review preliminary findings.

15. Whistleblower protection

If you are a Farouk Fusion employee, contractor, or former employee and want to report a violation of this AUP internally, you can use our confidential reporting channel at whistleblower@farouks-fusion.com. We prohibit retaliation against good-faith reporters.
