Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, which ones Farouk Fusion uses on farouks-fusion.com and across the EFURC, EFER, EFEMM, and JKPHermex Services, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store on your device. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences over time. “Similar technologies” include local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, web beacons, pixels, and SDK identifiers in mobile apps. In this Policy, “cookies” means all of these.

2. Categories of cookies we use

We classify cookies by their purpose. Farouk Fusion uses only the minimum cookies necessary to deliver and secure the Services.

2.1 Strictly necessary

These cookies are required for core functionality such as authentication, security, and load balancing. They cannot be switched off in our systems. You can block them in your browser, but parts of the Services will then break.

• ff_session — random session token. Expires when you close the browser.
• ff_auth — encrypted authentication token. Expires after 30 days or on logout.
• ff_csrf — anti-CSRF token used by form submissions. Session-only.

2.2 Functional

These cookies remember choices you make to give you a personalised experience. Disabling them means your preferences reset on every visit.

• ff_theme — remembers your “gold / void” theme preference. Expires after 1 year.
• ff_locale — preferred language. Expires after 1 year.

2.3 Analytics

We do not currently use analytics cookies on farouks-fusion.com. If we add them in the future, we will update this Policy, request consent where required (EU/UK GDPR, ePrivacy), and let you opt out. Crash and error data sent to Sentry is server-side and does not use cookies.

2.4 Advertising and cross-site tracking

We do not use advertising cookies, do not embed third-party ad networks, and do not sell or share cross-site identifiers. There are no Facebook, TikTok, or Google Ads pixels on farouks-fusion.com.

3. Mobile-app identifiers (EFURC, JKPHermex)

On iOS and Android, our apps may use platform-provided identifiers such as Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) and Google’s Advertising ID (GAID) only if you grant permission through the operating system’s tracking prompt. By default these are denied. We also use stable app-install identifiers (random UUIDs generated on first launch) for anti-cheat and entitlement purposes; you can reset the UUID by uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

4. How to disable cookies

4.1 Browser controls

All modern browsers let you block or delete cookies. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will break login, payments, and security features. Typical paths:

• Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
• Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
• Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
• Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data.

4.2 Private or incognito mode

Opening the site in a private window prevents cookies from persisting between sessions. This will sign you out each visit and disable the theme/locale memory.

4.3 Mobile-app controls (EFURC, JKPHermex)

iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking — toggle off “Allow Apps to Request to Track.” Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Delete advertising ID.

4.4 Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends the Do Not Track (DNT) header or the newer Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we honor it as an opt-out of any non-essential cookies or sharing. Because we do not currently run analytics or advertising cookies, the practical effect is that we already treat you as opted out.

5. Third-party cookies we set

We do not embed third-party widgets (no YouTube embeds, no Google Fonts, no Google Maps) on farouks-fusion.com, so the only first-party cookies are the ones listed in Section 2. If a future feature requires embedding a third-party widget, we will update this Policy and request consent where required.

We will post any material change to this Policy on this page and bump the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the updated cookie use.

8. Legal bases for non-essential cookies (EEA / UK)

If we ever introduce non-essential cookies in the future, we will rely on the legal basis of consent under the ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC, as amended) and the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003. Consent must be freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous; we use a consent banner that lets you accept all, reject all, or set granular preferences. You can withdraw consent at any time without giving a reason, and withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. We refresh consent at least every 12 months and on any material change to the cookies used.

9. Cookies set by sub-processors

farouks-fusion.com currently embeds no third-party widgets, but some of our sub-processors may set cookies on their own domains when you interact with our services:

• Sentry (error reporting): uses server-side beaconing from our own domain. No third-party cookie is set in your browser.
• Stripe / RevenueCat (payments): if you complete a checkout, Stripe will set cookies on checkout.stripe.com for fraud prevention and payment processing. Those cookies are governed by Stripe’s privacy notice, not this one. You can review them at stripe.com/privacy.
• Apple / Google billing (in-app purchases): app-store purchases do not involve browser cookies at all — they are managed inside the App Store or Play Store apps on your device.

We have contracts in place with each of these processors that restrict them to the purposes for which we share data with them.

10. Children’s use of cookies

Because we do not knowingly allow children under 13 to use the Services (see our Privacy Policy), we do not design cookies to profile or track minors. Where a child has accessed the site in error (for example, through a school project), the cookies set are limited to those strictly necessary for the site to function; no advertising or analytics cookies will be set, and no profile data is shared with third parties.

14. EU/UK specific rights

Under GDPR and the UK GDPR, cookie identifiers may constitute personal data when they can be combined with other information to identify a user. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to, and port the personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, see our Privacy Policy, Section 10. If we ever introduce non-essential cookies, you will be able to withdraw consent at any time without giving a reason.

15. Updates and effective date

The “Last updated” date at the top records the most recent change. Continued use of the Services after the effective date means you accept the updated cookie use. If you have an account with us, we may also notify you by in-app message or email of any material change to this Cookie Policy.
