The Steam launch is Dec 1. 4 weeks from today. Here is the final checklist.
Week of Nov 6 — final assets
- Trailer v3 (60 seconds, captioned, 4K) — final cut, music mixed, captions verified
- 5 screenshots (1920×1080 minimum, no UI overlay) — final captures from the production build
- Store page copy (250 words) — final proofread, keyword-dense
- System requirements — minimum + recommended specs
Week of Nov 13 — press kit + curator push
- Press kit refresh — all assets current, all stats current
- Curator outreach — minimum 10 Steam curators contacted, 2-week lead time
- Press release draft — embargoed for Nov 29
Week of Nov 20 — community prep
- Discord announcement — countdown pinned in #announcements
- Email blast — to the full subscriber list (lore book + early access)
- Reddit pre-launch — r/IndieGaming, r/Roblox, r/SteamGameSuggestions
Week of Nov 27 — launch week
- Fri Nov 27: press release goes live (embargo lifts)
- Sat Nov 28: Steam Next Fest announcement (if participating)
- Sun Nov 29: wishlist push — every existing player gets a personal email
- Mon Nov 30: Reddit launch post goes live at 6am EST
- Tue Dec 1: Steam page goes live at 9am EST
What this means for revenue
The Steam launch is the biggest revenue event of the year. 4,200 pre-loaded wishlists × 15-20% conversion on launch day = 600-840 first-day units. $20 ARPU = $12,000-16,800 first-day revenue.
